Ivy Crago is a Theatre-Maker, Performer, Writer, and Producer. An alum of the Victorian College of the Arts, she completed a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatre in 2022 and is the Co-Artistic Director of Big Dog Theatre.
A romantic and pantser, Ivy is passionate about storytelling and theatre as a shared experience. As a physical theatre performer and embodied writer, her work explores the absurdity of the mundane and the whimsy of everyday objects, creatures, and critters that are ordinarily unobserved. Drawing on immersive theatre traditions and the Lecoq pedagogy, she centres joy, imagination, and care in her creative practice.
Her previous works with Big Dog Theatre include The Frog (2024/2025), Furny (2024), Conversations with a Fried Egg (2025), and The Moon and the Conspiracy (2025).
Alongside her artistic practice, Ivy has worked across arts programming, event coordination, marketing, and communications. Drawing on experience at Midsumma Festival and the Victorian Pride Centre, she approaches programming with a focus on audience engagement, community connection, and accessibility, supporting events that celebrate and uplift LGBTIQA+ communities.
